Event Direction: Free parking for the Museum is located off of 6th street. The main entrance for the Museum is located right off of that parking lot.

Join the Augusta Museum of History for Hands On History Workshops. On February 14th we will focus on the face vessels from Edgefield South Carolina. AMH Education Manager, Krystal Lyon will share the history of these fascinating objects and show you some that are in the Museum collection. Then you will learn how to create your own vessel using air dry clay. (No kiln firing needed) All supplies are included in the price and you can take home your vessel, extra clay and tools to keep on creating. The cost is just $25.00 per person and there are only 15 spots available. What's included *All supplies for one face vessel (plus extra clay and tools to take home) *Instruction and techniques for how to create the vessel from airdry clay *Lesson on the history of the vessels *Tour of Edgefield pottery in Museum Collection *Admission to Museum after the workshop What's not included *Please bring your own water and snacks *Please bring a towel *Please bring an apron or wear clothes you can get a little muddy
