Southern Suds: Come for the History, Stay for the Beer

Southern Suds Poster 2019 | Augusta Museum of History

The Augusta Museum of History, Riverwatch Brewery, and Kruhu are brewing up a fifth year of Southern Suds: Come for the History, Stay for the Beer!

Enjoy flights and a variety of craft beer, participate in beer history trivia, tour our galleries and kick back and listen to live music by Whiskey Run. Learn about the history of brewing beer in Augusta and pairing food with specific beers. Back by popular demand is the Museum's limited-edition beer, Per Simma Down, a challenging beer brewed by Riverwatch Brewery! This persimmon wheat beer is based on a historic recipe from an 1870's cookbook from the Museum's collection. Get this special beer on tap and in bottles; available for one night only during Southern Suds while supplies last.

Corporate and individual sponsorship's are currently available to support the event.

All ticket proceeds go to the Augusta Museum of History for preservation of collections and public programs.
