Celebrate Juneteenth with us!!

Juneteen is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.

On June 19, 1865, two years after Abraham Lincoln delivered the Emancipation Proclamation, soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas ordering slave holding Texans to comply with the freeing of enslaved Americans. Thus Juneteenth was born!
