Hunt For History
The Augusta Museum of History is dedicated to creating a safe environment for our staff and guests. We have implemented procedures that help us reduce contact, maintain social distancing, and keep our facilities clean.
Following CDC public health guidelines
Disinfecting public areas regularly
Placing plastic barriers at close contact areas
Limiting our capacity to allow adequate space to social distance
Posting helpful social distancing markers and signs
We require that adults and children children over the age of 2 wear face masks or face coverings while inside buildings. Medical exceptions are allowed with a note from a doctor. There are no other exceptions.
Stay home if you do not feel well or are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
Practice social distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet of distance between you and others.
Wash your hands frequently and practice good hygiene when coughing or sneezing.

"Elementary, My Dear Watson!"
Join Mr. Sherlock Holmes in his Hunt for History, a scavenger hunt for kids Pre-K to 12th Grade. Mr. Holmes will be traveling through 12,000 years of Augusta, Georgia's history as he discovers the odd and mysterious.
You will need to bring pencils and the worksheets for your group the day of your visit. All of the questions are taken from the 1st floor exhibits, Augustas Story and the Transportation Corridor.
The Hunt for History with Mr. Holmes is free with Museum admission.
Print your Hunt for History sheets according to grade level or topic and bring them with you on your next visit.
