Hometown Heroes

Through the continued generosity of the Wells Fargo Foundation there will be a special display of the Museum's textile collections recognizing the service of the River Region's veterans. In honor of those who have served our country, the Hometown Heroes case features uniforms from several wars. In honor of the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the first display (July-December 2016) will focus on the heroes of World War II. Beginning in January and ending at the end of June 2017, the case will feature uniforms from multiple conflicts including the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, and the Vietnam War. 2017 is also the 100th anniversary of the United States entrance into World War I.
