The Augusta Museum of History offers specialized and individually created programs for homeschool groups. These programs can be tailored to each homeschool group's curriculum and needs. Past activities have included.
Native American: Stallings Island Pottery
Children will visit our Stallings Island exhibit, play with the Native American Touch Cart, then create their own pottery!
Primary Source Program
Children will use primary source artifacts to discover more about the history of Augusta during specific periods. Learn More
President's Day: Colonial Hat Making
Children will visit Revolutionary War exhibit, then create a colonial hat!
Historic Writing: Quill Pens and Spencerian Script

Children will visit Civil War exhibit, learn about President Lincoln, then use quill pens to copy letters in Spenserian script!
