Interactive Sites
Red dots on the map indicate the location of QR codes within the museum of interactive sites. Use a QR code scanner on your mobile device if you are in the museum, or click on the red dots on the map to learn about historic places in Augusta. To close a box, click the red dot again.
Audio Tour
The Augusta Museum of History offers a free audio tour with admission. Throughout Augusta's Story on the first floor, look and scan for blue QR code labels with your smart phone or tablet. Feel free to listen to all twenty-six stops, or pick and choose based on your level of interest. Headphones provide the best audio experience, however, they are not provided by the Museum.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Personal, non-commercial photography without flash or tripod is permitted in the galleries, unless otherwise posted.
Museum Policies
No food or drink in the galleries. Smoking is not permitted in the building. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE
The Augusta Museum of History is Handicap Accessible. An elevator to the second floor is located off the main rotunda. Handicapped restrooms are located on the first and second floors.
