Bottle making is a complex art form that has a rich history in the United States. Whether it is blowing glass or shaping ceramics, artisans take great pride in developing their craft. They are not content to simply create a vessel to hold liquids, but rather they mold molten glass and wet clay into works of art.
Merchants who used the bottles to sell their wares demanded more exciting and eye catching packaging to outsell their competitors. In the 1960s and 70s saw an explosion of unique bottles that haven't been seen before or since.
