Description

A membership booklet for The Colony Club of New York (chartered December 7, 1903) for the year 1940. The booklet lists the organization's members, by-laws, and constitution. Additional booklets include the House Rules and a Junior Members list. Listed as a Resident Member is Mrs. Robert Grigg Reese (Louise de l'Aigle Seyd Reese).

This book was placed in a time capsule by Louise de l'Aigle Seyd Reese around 1941. She had the time capsule buried in a wall of the Sexton's Lodge (of which she had funded the construction) at Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta, Ga. The time capsule was recovered by members of the DeLaigle (de l'Aigle) family in 2015 with permission from the Augusta-Richmond County Government.
