Description

A white and blue striped cotton dress (uniform) with short sleeves and large, white plastic buttons. There is a large pocket and a large pocket on the skirt area.

This dress was worn by nurse Margaret Jernigan Daniel while she was on private nurse duty at University Hospital from 1935 to 1942. Her maiden name "Margaret Jernigan" is embroidered in red thread onto a white label at the collar.

Margaret Jernigan Daniel was born June 4, 1917 and died September 10, 1998. She is interred in Westover Cemetery.
