Description

On August 19, 1957 an A&P Food Store on Walton Way in Augusta, Georgia held a raffle for an automobile. Store employees stood in the back of a truck surrounded by a large crowd to draw one ticket from a raffle drum. The young man whose ticket was drawn won a 1957 Chevy pictured here. The store held a second car raffle in 1958.
