Description

Small royal blue booklet with a Victorian flourish design in black ink on both covers. The front cover has the words "Views / of / Augusta, Ga." in black cursive ink. Inside is an accordion style folding of various small black and white drawings of scenic buildings around Augusta and one of the Highland Park Hotel in Aiken, SC. The back page has the following stamped in red ink: "Souvenir of the Subway, / 714 Broad St. / Postcards, Books / Magazines and Papers / F. E. Williams, P[r]op.". Images are published by L.G. Bigelow & Co. of Augusta, GA. Bigelow was also a photographer who owned the Augusta Photo Company.

The buildings/scenes featured are: Masonic Temple; Fearey Jeweler; Arlington Hotel; Old Bell Tower; Green [sic] Street; Smythe Jr. Furnishings and Crockery; Jas. O. Bailie & Son Carpets, Shades, Cornices and Wall Paper; August Dorr, Importer, Merchant and Tailor; Augusta Chronicle; William Schweigert, Jewelry; Goodyear & Co.
