Gertrude Cullum Painting

Portrait of Gertrude Perkins Cullum in Gold Frame.

Gertrude Perkins Cullum was the sister of Henry Claudis Perkins. She married Julian Cullum June 7, 1905. Julian went on to open Saxon-Cullum Department store. Gertrude was very active in the community participating in local business groups as well as a club for the hard-of-hearing. She was killed in 1945 while walking across 5th street. She was hit by a drunk driver and passsed away later in the hospital.
