| We offer docent-led and self-guided tours of the museum for both adults and school children. Docent-led tours must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance by calling the Museum at (706) 722-8454. Self-guided tours of more than 20 visitors must be scheduled one week in advance. Self-guided tour groups of 19 or less may visit without a reservation. Please inform us of any special needs or interests in your group when scheduling your tour. For school groups, the museum can accommodate up to one hundred children at one time, in groups no larger than twenty-five students. | |

HUNT FOR HISTORYJoin time travelers, Mr. Peabody and Sherman from the Bullwinkle Show in their Hunt for History. It's a scavenger hunt for kids in K-12. Mr. Peabody and Sherman "Set the Wayback Machine" for Augusta, Georgia and make frequent stops through 12,000 years of Augusta history looking for the odd and mysterious. You will need to bring pencils and the worksheets for your group the day of your visit. All of the questions are taken from the 1st floor exhibits, Augusta’s Story and the Transportation Corridor. The Hunt for History with Time Travelers Mr. Peabody & Sherman is free with Museum admission. Print your Hunt for History sheets according to grade level or topic and bring them with you on your next visit. |
