The Weird, the Wonderful, & the What is it?

October 6, 2006 through April 29, 2007.

Join the Augusta Museum of History on a journey to uncover hidden treasures and buried secrets of the past.  Our newest exhibit will bring you face to face with some of the most unusual items in the museum’s collection.  From a delicate wreath made from human hair to an enormous stuffed bison, this fascinating exhibition brings the rarely seen oddities collected over the years out of the depths and into the galleries.

Discover the Weird (a bullet ridden bedroom door), the Wonderful (an Edison phonograph), the What is it? (What is a velocipede anyway?), and the stories these and other unique items have to tell.
